Administration Assistant – 30 Hours per week, 6 Hours per day

The administration assistant is usually the first face that families, professional visitors and prospective residents see when they walk through the door, it is a really important role. This is also the first point of contact for telephone enquiries, so a confident and pleasant telephone manner is a must.

To be a successful administration assistant you need a strong organisational and methodical approach to work, attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office, excellent interpersonal skills and, ideally, you would be a strong communicator, both orally and in writing. Experience of working in an administrator role in a similar, busy environment would also be beneficial.

As administration assistant you will support the administrator and home manager in ensuring the smooth running of the home. Reporting to the administrator, you will liaise regularly with the care, nursing, activities, housekeeping, facilities, training and catering teams within the home, as well as the organisation’s support office, external suppliers and professional visitors. You will also work with the administrator to ensure that enquiries from prospective residents and/or their families are logged onto the electronic system each day and that prompt follow ups are completed.
