Talking about memories is one of the many things we love to do with our residents, and when talking about films they love ‘Alice in Wonderland’ came into conversation. They expressed just how long it had been since they had seen the film, so, we decided to dedicate a whole day to it!

In the morning we all gathered together to paint colourful teapots, inspiring our memories of that very extravagant Mad Hatters Tea Party in the film.

We then watched the 2010 remake of the film in the afternoon, generating a real mix of conversation of how it compared to the original. How the characters had been transported to the 21st Century with all the amazing special effects and animation.

Following the film, we enjoyed jam tarts, crazy coloured cakes and of course, cups of tea – our very own Mad Hatters Tea Party! Fun was had by the whole home with the staff also getting involved, posing with some crazy hats that any Mad Hatter would be proud of.
