Our resident, Alan, is relatively new to the Ashridge family! For one year, he has had time to settle into his new home and has done so with great enthusiasm.
For forty years, Alan was a butcher in Kent and there he described “one of my biggest achievements was being part of the team for setting the world record for the biggest beef burger featured in the local paper”. After this, Alan worked in the RAF and was stationed in Libya and Malta.
Some of Alan’s fondest memories include growing up with his two sisters and four brothers, raising two children and marrying his wife, Maureen. He was also keen on socialising in pubs with his RAF colleagues while drinking beer (and the odd scotch).
Since retiring, Alan has been going fishing, completing puzzles, and enjoying the sunny weather! When the weather isn’t sunny, Alan catches up with his favourite TV soaps like Coronation Street.
