Ashridge Residents Enjoy A Seaside Day
What a fantastic day out our lovely Ashridge residents had in Hastings! The sun was shining, the sea breeze was gentle, and everyone was full of excitement for our trip to the Shipwreck Museum and Fishermen’s Museum. There was so much to see, from fascinating shipwreck treasures to stories of brave local fishermen who once called Hastings home.
One of the highlights of the day was when our very own Betty discovered something truly special. Her maiden name, Adams, turned out to be connected to two fishermen, Bernie and Henry, from generations past! Betty couldn’t stop smiling, and her excitement was contagious — everyone loved sharing in her joy and uncovering that piece of family history.
After exploring the museums, we enjoyed a gentle stroll along the seafront and, of course, treated ourselves to some delicious ice cream! There was plenty of laughter, reminiscing, and cheerful chatter all around.
It was a day full of happy memories, great company, and seaside fun, the perfect Ashridge adventure!
